Dear Corporate Safari’ers -
First, I want to thank you for subscribing, reading, liking, sharing, and commenting on my weekly blog. I started writing this blog in March 2020 when we were all told to go home. No more downtown commute! Yay! But, what to do with my newfound “free” time?
Instead of staring at the TV, my husband, or my dog every day, I went to work. I started writing down my lessons from over 20 years in business — the good, the bad, the challenging, and the rewarding. This formed my blog, Corporate Safari, and eventually fueled my first book, Succeed from the Middle, which I published two years later in March 2022. Thank you to those who supported, purchased and reviewed my book!
Many of you know I had to pivot earlier this year when I separated from the company I was working with. I wrote more, coached people on the side, networked, did some speaking, and started looking for my own projects to help with learning, development, and change management.
Recently, a new opportunity came along to create a Learning & Development function within a very successful and growing cyber insurance company. I love to create and build, and this was (and is) a great chance to do that. I get to do what I love everyday — thinking about, planning, and bringing forth opportunities to help people develop, learn, grow, pivot, promote, and lead.
At this time, I am taking a hiatus from writing Corporate Safari. I am taking some time to figure out the direction of the blog, whether it remains similar in focus or start something completely new. If you have thoughts, ideas, or needs to share, please let me know. I am always open to feedback and input.
But right now, there is nothing for you to do. Stay subscribed, and when I kick things back up, you will be the first to know!
I hope everyone is doing what they love and helping people along the way. I am in your corner rooting for you and remain available via Substack or LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/kaciewalters.
All the best,
Kacie
I have always enjoyed reading and sharing your well informed thoughts.
Thanks you from the bottom of my heart helping my to add to my knowledge each time.
